Approach and anchoring
The Washington Park harbour opens onto Lake Michigan at the mouth of Trail Creek. The entrance is marked and passes close to the Michigan City Light. The harbour takes a draught of about 2.1 metres.
Practical
A members' club offering shared use of a maintained, fuelled and insured fleet, rather than berths to visiting boats. Members book boats in advance through the club. Restrooms, showers and a fuel berth are available within the surrounding marina.
Ashore
Washington Park Beach and the 1904 Michigan City Light stand beside the harbour. Indiana Dunes National Park lies a short distance west along the lakeshore.
