Approach and anchoring
Entered from Lake Michigan through the New Buffalo harbour mouth, then up the Galien River channel. The marina lies on Channel A, behind sand dunes that shelter the berths, with no bridges between it and the open lake.
Practical
Around 275 berths on floating docks, including a dozen or more kept for transient boats, from 25 ft up to 50 ft and larger. Petrol, diesel and pump-out. Pool, bath house, picnic area, on-site restaurant and a chandlery. Established 1957.
Ashore
New Buffalo town centre and its public beach on Lake Michigan are within walking distance, with shops and restaurants for provisioning.
