Approach and anchoring
From the Golfe de Fos, approach from the south keeping clear of the commercial traffic lanes serving the Port Autonome de Marseille. The marina entrance lies east of the Saint-Gervais point, marked by lateral lights. Maximum draught 2.5 m. Harbour master on VHF 9.
Practical
840 berths with water, electricity and diesel at the fuel berth. Shops and restaurants around the marina basin. Fos-sur-Mer town centre is 1.5 km inland, full shops and a weekly market Thursday morning. Rail station at Fos-sur-Mer with regional services to Miramas and Marseille.
Ashore
Hauture hill and medieval castle ruins of Fos sit on a rocky outcrop 1.5 km from the marina, with views over the gulf, the salt marshes and the Crau plain. Plage du Cavaou, a 3 km sand beach, begins at the eastern end of the marina. The Camargue regional nature park begins across the Rhône estuary, accessible by road via Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône.
