Approach and anchoring
Enter Marina del Rey from the Pacific between the north and south jetties, then follow the main channel east. The club lies on the south side of the harbour, off Basin H on Palawan Way. Reciprocal clubs hailed on VHF channel 16 are usually directed by the harbour master.
Practical
Around 300 berths reserved for members and reciprocal guests. Shore power, fresh water and showers at the docks, clubhouse with restaurant and bar. Visitor berthing on request, subject to availability. Fuel berth and chandlery available elsewhere in Marina del Rey.
History
Founded on 8 April 1952 by five Los Angeles yachtsmen. The club signed a 60-year lease with Los Angeles County in 1962 and moved into its current clubhouse on Palawan Way in 1965, when the new Marina del Rey basin was being commissioned.
