County-run marina on the west bank of the Cooper River at North Charleston, about two miles north of the Ravenel Bridge.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from Charleston Harbour up the Cooper River. The transient dock has 700 feet of face dock, so deep-draught yachts can lie alongside rather than work the slips. Holding ground in the river is mud.
Practical
Around 165 annual berths plus a transient dock taking vessels up to 125 feet. Shore power at 30, 50 and 100 amp. Pump-out shore-side and slip-side, ship store, and a climate-controlled lounge with showers, heads and laundry. Certified under the South Carolina Clean Marina programme.
Ashore
Downtown Charleston is about 15 minutes by road. Cooper River County Park adjoins the marina with picnic grounds and a fishing pier.
