Approach and anchoring

Enter Charleston Harbor from the Atlantic through the dredged ship channel and round the carrier USS Yorktown at Patriots Point. The marina sits just east of the museum ships. Max draught 3.5 metres. VHF channels 16 and 72.

Practical

17,000 feet of linear dockage with berths from 33 to 66 feet, plus 42 cable lifts. 24-hour fuel berth with diesel and petrol. Heads, showers, laundry. Concierge service includes car hire, restaurant booking and provisioning delivery. Office open 7 days a week, 08:00 to 18:00.

Ashore

Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum sits next to the marina, with the carrier USS Yorktown, destroyer USS Laffey and submarine USS Clamagore open to visitors. A water taxi crosses to downtown Charleston, 0.8 nm west, in around 10 minutes. The Maritime Center on the peninsula side is the alternative city-side berth.
