Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Golfe du Morbihan through the channel marked between Pointe des Émigrés and the Île de Conleau. Strong tidal streams run through the Gulf at springs, with rates above 5 knots at the Port-Navalo narrows. Maximum draught reported at 1.8 m. The basin partly dries at low water springs. VHF 9 for the Vannes port authority which also manages the area.
Practical
Moorings on buoys and a few quay berths. Water on the pontoon. Showers and toilets ashore. Sailing school and a small slipway on site. Bus line 2 to central Vannes and the Port de Plaisance at the head of the river, 3 km away.
Ashore
Sea-water swimming pool next to the harbour, open in summer. Footpath around the Île de Conleau, about 2 km loop. Restaurants on the island quayside. Port Anna with its boatyard at 0.3 NM south, Chantier Caudard at 0.8 NM east.
