Approach and anchoring
River anchorage on the right bank of the Rhône. Watch for commercial barge traffic on the main channel and the wash from passing convoys. Keep clear of the navigation line marked by the buoyage.
Practical
No services on site. Halte fluviale de Chavanay 0.2 NM to the north for a pontoon berth. Port de Condrieu-Les Roches 2.8 NM NE for fuel and proper marina facilities.
Ashore
Chavanay village within walking distance of the halte, with bakery and small shops. The site sits in the Condrieu and Saint-Joseph AOC vineyards on the granite slopes above the river.
