Approach and anchoring
From Lake Erie enter Sandusky Bay between Marblehead Peninsula and Cedar Point. Follow the dredged Sandusky Bay channel SW, then break off N towards the Cedar Point peninsula. Marina is on the bay side of the peninsula. Lake level variable, no tidal range. Listen on VHF 9.
Practical
Over 1500 berths from 5 to 30 metres on floating pontoons. Fuel berth with petrol and diesel, pump-out, water, shore power. Heads, showers, laundry. On-site restaurants and shops. Direct shuttle to the amusement park gates for berth-holders. Office reachable on 419 627 2334.
Ashore
Cedar Point amusement park entrance about 800 m N across the peninsula, 18 roller coasters on a 147-hectare site open mid-May to early November. Mile-long Cedar Point Beach on the lake side, 600 m walk. Cedar Point Shores Waterpark adjacent. Downtown Sandusky 2.4 NM SW across the bay.
