Approach and anchoring

Approached from the head of Buzzards Bay near the Cape Cod Canal entrance at Cohasset Narrows. The Massachusetts Maritime Academy stands close by as a landmark. Strong tidal streams run through the canal, so time the approach with the fair tide and watch for commercial traffic in the channel.

Practical

Berths on floating pontoons. The town-run Taylor Point Marina lies 0.1 nm to the SE with a fuel berth selling petrol and diesel, a pump-out and a chandlery.
