- Type
- Harbour
Large family-owned marina and boatyard on Ocean Drive in Cape May Harbor, New Jersey, the first marina inside the Cape May Inlet.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Entered from the Atlantic through the Cape May Inlet, a deep jettied entrance with 19 to 25 feet inside. The basin lies just west of the inlet mouth, the first marina reached on the way into the harbour. The inlet is busy with sportfishing traffic, so keep a sharp watch near the entrance.
Practical
About 1,100 berths for vessels up to roughly 40 feet. Water, shore power and a petrol fuel berth. The full-service boatyard has a travel lift rated to 85 tons, with restrooms, showers and a ship store.
Story
The basin's 85-ton travel lift handles some of the larger sportfishing boats based out of Cape May.
