Approach and anchoring
The City Marina runs a 226-ball mooring field covering most of Boot Key Harbor north and east of the main channel, plus an anchorage south of the channel between Sister Creek and the Boot Key Bridge. Moorings are first-come, first-served with no reservations. Call Marathon City Marina on VHF 16. Fresh water available.
Practical
Of the 226 moorings, 211 take vessels up to 45 feet and 15 take up to 60 feet. The field tends to fill around Thanksgiving and stays full into mid-February. Marathon Seawalls and Docks lies 0.2 mile north; 15th Street Marina is 0.3 mile north-west.
