Approach and anchoring
Bonefish Bay sits on the ocean side of Marathon, near Fat Deer Key, almost ringed by mangroves. The anchorage runs about three hundred yards with good holding, average depth around 10 feet. The Bonefish Towers building stands tall and is visible from well offshore as a landmark.
Practical
White Marlin Resort and Marina, on its own island reached by a private causeway, lies 0.3 nautical miles to the NE. Bonefish Marina, next to Bonefish Towers, lies 0.3 nautical miles to the E.
Ashore
Coco Plum Beach is a natural beach with a wetland alongside, a covered pavilion and toilets, and is a turtle nesting site. The Coco Plum area of Marathon has well-known diving and fishing grounds.
