Approach and anchoring
Approach from Lake Union through the Ship Canal under the University Bridge, then turn east into Portage Bay. Fresh water, no tide. Air draught limited by the University Bridge bascule span and by the fixed 167 ft Ship Canal Bridge to the north-east.
Practical
Long-term moorage only, no transient berths. 30 amp shore power on renovated pontoons. Keycode gate, 24 hour heads and showers. Kayak and SUP hire on site, lockers for paddlecraft.
Ashore
University of Washington campus 600 m north on foot. Agua Verde cafe and paddle club at the marina entrance. Restaurants and shops along NE 45th St about 1 km north.
