Approach and anchoring
Approach through the rock-strewn waters of the Sept-Îles archipelago approaches, using cardinal marks and a large-scale chart. Mixed bottom of sand, rock and mud. Sheltered from NW, W and E winds, open to N and S. Only suitable in settled weather given the rocky surroundings.
Practical
Forain anchorage, no services. Tréguier 3.8 NM S on the Jaudy offers a deepwater marina with full facilities. Port Blanc 4 NM W is a tidal harbour with visitor moorings.
Ashore
GR34 coast path along the Côte de Granit Rose sector, with pink granite outcrops characteristic of the Trégor coast. Village of Penvénan inland from Port Blanc.
History
Tréguier to the S was founded around the monastery of Saint Tugdual in the 6th century and its cathedral of Saint-Tugdual dates from the 13th to 15th centuries.
