Approach and anchoring
Enter Morro Bay between the north and south breakwaters under the south flank of Morro Rock. The bar is safe in seas under 2.7 metres with a swell period over 12 seconds and breaks heavily otherwise. Follow the dredged channel south along the Embarcadero. The marina is on the east side at 201 Main Street, about 0.5 nautical miles from the entrance.
Practical
Long-term and liveaboard slips, transient berths subject to availability. Water and shore power on the pontoons, pump-out, fuel close by on the Embarcadero. Office on 201 Main Street, phone 805 489 6334. All Morro Bay services within walking distance.
Ashore
Embarcadero waterfront on the doorstep with seafood restaurants, oyster bars and chandlery. Morro Rock at 1 km north on foot, 176 metres of volcanic plug closed to climbers and used as a peregrine falcon nesting site. Morro Bay State Park heron rookery at 2 km south, protected since 1973.
