Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the W with no off-lying dangers in the outer part of the bay. Shelter from winds in the NE to S sector. Fully exposed to the libeccio from the SW and W, which builds swell quickly. Tizzano fishing harbour lies 0.5 NM N as the nearest refuge; Port de Propriano is 8.8 NM N across the gulf.
Practical
Forain anchorage with no services. Tizzano has a small fuel berth, a few restaurants and a grocery open in season. Drop the hook on sand in 4 to 8 m, keeping clear of the posidonia patches which are protected by Corsican regulations.
