Guide
Approach and anchoring
Anchor just inside the eastern end of the breakwater, clear of the mooring field, or along the shore on the south side. Depths run 8 to 10 feet, shoaling to 4 or 5 feet near the beach. The bottom is mud. Shelter covers west through south to east.
Practical
Fresh water is available at the harbour. A launch service runs to anchored boats and a dock sits east of the harbour master's office. Anchoring beyond 48 hours in the designated refuge area requires registration with the harbour office; stays over seven days need a permit.
