Approach and anchoring
Reached from Sandy Hook Bay with deep-water access and no bridges to the open sea. The Sandy Hook channel and the bay fishing grounds lie close by.
Practical
About 150 berths for boats up to roughly 15 metres, with summer and winter storage, plus transient space taking vessels up to about 33 metres. A 35-ton travel lift and a service department on site, along with heads, showers and picnic areas with barbecues. Boating season runs from 1 April to 1 December.
Ashore
The Seafarer, a waterfront tiki bar with food and live music, is on the marina grounds. Sandy Hook, part of the Gateway National Recreation Area, lies across the bay with ocean beaches and walking trails.
