Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south across the bay of Fréjus. Sand bottom, good holding. Shelter from NE through E to SE, exposed to S and SW winds and the swell that sets into the bay.
Practical
No services on site. Port-Fréjus 0.9 nm NE for fuel, water and berths. Saint-Aygulf harbour 1.1 nm S as an alternative.
Ashore
Étangs de Villepey nature reserve directly behind the beach, 260 hectares of coastal lagoons with birdlife. Sand beach of Saint-Aygulf extends south from the river mouth.
