Approach and anchoring
Coastal approach along the Côte Bleue, giving Cap Couronne a berth of at least 200 m to clear the foul ground off the lighthouse. Sand bottom in the cove. Sheltered from NW, N, NE and E, so it holds well under mistral, which is the dominant wind on this coast. Open to the south and SW: leave if the sea gets up from that quarter.
Practical
Forain anchorage with no services. Carro 0.4 nm west has a fishing harbour with a few visitor berths, water and fuel in season. Port des Laurons 1.8 nm NW is the secondary shelter.
Ashore
Plage du Verdon sand beach at the head of the cove. Phare de Cap Couronne built in 1960 on the cape 0.5 nm west. Sentier du littoral of the Côte Bleue Marine Park runs along the coast to Sausset-les-Pins.
