Approach from the south along the Pointe de Mousterlin coast. The Odet entrance is marked by the Pyramide de Bénodet on the east bank. Keep clear of the fairway used by the Bénodet ferry and river traffic.

Forain anchorage on sand, exposed to S and SW. Bénodet marina 2.8 NM NW and Sainte-Marine 2.9 NM NW both offer pontoon berths, fuel and full services.
