Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south along the coast between Cap Morgiou and the Pointe de Cacau. No mark, no buoy, line of sight only. Sand and posidonia patches on the bottom. Anchor on sand to avoid damaging the posidonia meadow, which is protected under the national park regulations. Sheltered from NW, N, NE and W, including the mistral falling off the calanques. Fully exposed to S and SE swell.
Practical
Port-Miou, the largest calanque mooring of the massif, is 1.6 NM E and takes visiting yachts on buoys. Port de Morgiou, a small fishing harbour with a handful of visitor places, lies 1.7 NM W.
Ashore
The Anse de Devenson is only reachable on foot via a steep marked path from the Col de la Gardiole, around 1 h 30 each way. Inside the Parc national des Calanques, a strict no-fire, no-camping, no-waste zone.
