Approach from the north along the rocky coast of the island. Weed bottom, holding variable, check the anchor has bitten. Sheltered from NE, E, S and SE. Fully open to the northern and westerly sectors.
Practical
Daytime forain anchorage, no services. Port-Joinville 1.9 nm E is the reference refuge for berths, water, fuel and supplies. Fromentine on the mainland 14.3 nm NE.
Ashore
Coastal path around the Île d'Yeu. Vieux Château, a 14th century ruined fortress, 2 km west along the path. Plage des Vieilles to the south of the island 4 km by road.
