Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south on a clear heading, sand bottom with good holding. Sheltered from north, north-east and west. Open to the south, so only usable in northerly weather. No night lights.
Practical
No services. Port Joinville is 2.1 to 2.4 NM to the north with the main harbour of the island, fuel, water and full provisioning. Fromentine on the mainland is 14.4 NM north-east.
Ashore
The Chemin du littoral (GR80) runs above the cove and links the Port de la Meule to the Vieux Château ruin, a 13th century fortress on the south-west cliffs, around 3 km west along the path.
