Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the open sea in deep water. Keep clear of the rocky area off Îlot de Pinarello where the tower stands, at the north end of the bay. Sand holding with rocky patches, so drop in clear sand. Bay is open to the east, protected only from the south.
Practical
Forain anchorage with no infrastructure. Nearest shelter is Marina di Fiori 5.7 nm SW, then Quilichi 6.2 nm SW. Shops, restaurants and water at Pinarello village behind the beach.
Ashore
Long sand beach of Pinarello, about 2 km, runs the length of the bay. Genoese tower of Pinarello on the islet, built in the 16th century, listed monument historique, accessible on foot at low water. Village bakery and grocery 300 m back from the beach.
