Approach and anchoring
Open approach from the south. Holding on sand, depths of 3 to 6 metres close to shore. Protection from NE through SE but open to the west and mistral from the NW. Yachting Club de la Pointe Rouge lies 0.2 NM to the SW as a refuge in a blow.
Practical
Forain anchorage with no facilities. Port de la Pointe Rouge, 0.3 NM SW, has visitor berths, water, diesel and a fuel berth.
Ashore
Small pebble beach and the 16th century chapel of Saint-Joseph that gave the cove its name. Bus line 83 runs along the Corniche Kennedy to central Marseille about 8 km to the NW. Calanques National Park boundary begins at Callelongue roughly 4 km south along the coast.
