Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter via the Lorient main channel and bear west once past the Citadelle de Port-Louis. Sand holds well for common yacht anchors. Shelter is good from N, NE and NW winds. The anchorage opens to the S and SE and becomes uncomfortable with onshore breeze.
Practical
No services on site. Toulhars beach quay lies 0.9 NM to the NE for a dinghy landing. Lomener fishing harbour is 1.1 NM west with water, fuel and a slipway.
Ashore
The Kerguélen coastal dune is a protected Conservatoire du littoral site with a marked walking loop of about 2 km behind the beach. Larmor-Plage village centre is roughly 1.5 km on foot, with bakeries, a Carrefour and bus line 2 to Lorient.
