Guide
Approach and anchoring
Open approach from the south between Cap de la Croisette and Cap d'Antibes. No tidal constraint. Entrance channel marked by red and green lights at the jetty heads. Shelter is limited from easterly swell. VHF 12 for the harbour office.
Practical
805 berths, max draught 3 m. Fuel berth with diesel and petrol at the base of the main jetty. Water and electricity on pontoons. Air-conditioned shower blocks and a free chilled fountain giving still and sparkling water. A single washing machine runs on tokens bought at the office. Capitainerie open year round. Super U about 20 minutes on foot. The D-Marin Camille Rayon marina sits 0.2 NM east across the shared basin for larger yachts.
Ashore
Beach of Golfe-Juan alongside the port, sand, with lifeguards in season. Restaurants and bars sit under the plane trees by the harbour, and the Kokopele craft brewery is a short walk away. Tuesday and Friday morning market on avenue de la Liberté at 300 m. Train station Golfe-Juan Vallauris at 400 m on the Nice to Cannes line. Musee Magnelli and the ceramic workshops of Vallauris 2.5 km inland by bus 5.
History
Napoleon landed here on 1 March 1815 on return from Elba, starting the route Napoleon to Grenoble. A commemorative column stands on the seafront by the roundabout of the Route Nationale 7.
