Small drying harbour at Larmor-Plage on the west side of the Lorient roadstead, Morbihan, south Brittany.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Entry from the Rade de Lorient, south of the Passage de la Jument. This is a drying harbour where boats take the ground on fine sand on legs or lie alongside the quays, with about 1.2 metres against the south concrete quay where the slope begins. No shelter from easterly and southerly winds, which raise surf inside. Kernével marina lies 1.1 nautical miles to the northeast and Port-Louis the same distance to the east across the roadstead.
Practical
Mainly small craft and local fleet, limited visitor capacity. No harbour master and no fee for a stop, public toilets ashore. Shops, bakery and supermarket in Larmor-Plage within walking distance.
Ashore
Plage de Toulhars adjoins the harbour. Coastal path along the Larmor-Plage seafront leads west to Pointe de Kerpape. Lorient city centre and submarine base museum reachable across the roadstead.
