Approach and anchoring

Anchor in 4 to 8 m on sand between patches of posidonia. Large flat rocks lie in the sand, with smaller rocks near the shore. In 2025 large yacht buoys filled the centre of the bay, inside a square of yellow buoys. In June 2026 a field of large buoys was being laid about 400 m off the beach. A strip of about 200 m remained for anchoring. The bay is sheltered from swell but less from the wind.

Practical

Buoy operators asked 163 euros for one night in June 2026. Dinghies land at Porto Marana, the small harbour at the SE end of the bay, with 2 m depth and petrol. Leaving a dinghy on the beach was not allowed in August 2025. A supermarket closing at 8.30 pm is 8 minutes' walk from the harbour. Rubbish disposal cost 20 euros a bag at the harbour in 2026. A beach bar played music until about midnight in August 2025.

Ashore

Porto Marana has a terrace and restaurants, with more small restaurants near the church. Pintadera and Il Nodo are restaurants ashore. Windsurfers can be hired on the beach.
