Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from seaward with good visibility. The bottom is rock and sand, so drop the anchor on a sand patch between the slabs and check the set by snorkelling if possible. The small harbour is given over to local motorboats on buoys, so deeper-draught yachts must lie off its entrance, where there is about 4 metres, with room for only four to six boats. Exposure is open from NW through N to NE, so leave at the first sign of a northerly shift. Shelter improves with winds from SE through S to W.
Practical
Mooring forain only, no services on site. Fuel, water and chandlery are available 1.2 nm west at Port Eugène Ceccaldi in Sant'Ambroggio.
Ashore
Short dinghy run west to the beach and resort of Sant'Ambroggio, about 500 m from the landing, with a Spar, beach bars and restaurants in season. The village of Lumio sits on the hillside above, roughly 3 km by road from the port.
