Approach and anchoring
Sand and mud bottom, good holding. Sheltered from W, SW, S and SE winds by the island. Fully exposed to the E and NE, where the anchorage becomes untenable. Approach clear of dangers from the east.
Practical
No facilities on site. Port du Palais 2.9 NM to the NW for fuel, water and provisions. Sauzon 6 NM to the NW.
Ashore
The sandy beach ashore gives an easy dinghy landing. The coastal path Sentier des Douaniers GR 340 runs along the clifftop above the anchorage and circles the whole island over 80 km.
