Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west clear of the Banc de Kerouars. The bottom is rock in places rather than clean sand, in 5 to 9 metres. Mooring buoys lie about 300 metres off the Grande Plage. Shelter is good only in N to NE winds, and even then a thermal breeze gets up; the roadstead stays open to swell, which works in even with a NNW wind. A tidal stream of around 1.5 knots sets through, and boats sheer about in light airs. No night lighting on the coast here.
Practical
Mouillage forain on anchor, no service on site. Nearest harbours: Port Saint-Gildas 1 NM to the NW and La Gravette 2.1 NM to the N.
