Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west in settled weather only. The seabed is mostly rock and Posidonia seagrass, with one clear patch of sand and gravel near the two pine trees about 100 m off the small cliff; anchor there to avoid the weed and re-set if it drags. Exposed to the prevailing libeccio from SW and to westerly swell, which make it untenable in any west wind.
Practical
Forain anchorage, no facilities. Cargèse 5.1 NM S offers a small harbour for shelter. Porto-Ota 6.1 NM NE is a day anchorage at the mouth of the Porto river valley.
