Guide
Approach and anchoring
Posidonia covers most of the bay. In 2026 the sand where anchoring is still permitted lay in the southern part, in shallow water. The sand has room for only three or four yachts. A fish farm marked by a cardinal lies to starboard on entry. Gusts drop off the high ground. In an 18 to 23 kn westerly in June 2025, several boats dragged at night and one struck a rock. Jellyfish can be present in summer.
Practical
The harbour of Capraia is 8 minutes away by dinghy and has restaurants. Its supermarket is simple but stocks fruit and local cured sausages. In 2023 a bus ran to the village every 10 minutes for 1 euro.
