Approach and anchoring

Reached via the Canal du Rhône au Rhin, between locks 58 and 59 on the Doubs branch. Max draught around 1.8 m. Low clearance under nearby bridges, typical canal gauge.

Practical

About 30 berths on pontoons, though most are taken by permanent boats and only five or six tend to be free for visitors in season. Water, electricity and showers, paid at a machine, with clean sanitary facilities, a washing machine and a dryer. Around 14 euros a night for a 10 metre boat. A small boatyard occupies part of the old factory 200 m away. Small village with bakery and basic shops within walking distance. Besançon and full supplies 15 km west.

Ashore

Towpath along the Doubs for walking and cycling, part of the EuroVelo 6 route linking the Atlantic to the Black Sea. The restaurant Lally Cheese stands near the port. Old paper mill buildings in the village recall 19th century industry along the river.
