Approach and anchoring

Approach from the north-east along the red Esterel cliffs. Narrow entrance facing east. Maximum length 16 m and draught 2.35 m, and boats near that draught have touched bottom at low water, so sound the way in. VHF channel 9. Exposed to easterly winds. It works mainly as a fuel or shelter stop, a useful alternative to waiting off Cannes.

Practical

Only 16 berths in a private marina below the estate, so a visit is normally just for fuel or for shelter in bad weather, subject to space. Fuel available, basic services, and nothing else close by, no shop or bar.

Ashore

A waterfall drops beside the port entrance, below the La Galere estate and its sculpted residences. A short walk up leads to a restaurant with a wide view over the Bay of Cannes. The Corniche de l'Esterel coastal road runs along the red cliffs, with Theoule-sur-Mer 1 nm north-west by sea.
