Anchorage at the Pointe de la Paume on the Esterel shore between Théoule-sur-Mer and Miramar, in the western Gulf of La Napoule.

Approach and anchoring
Drop in 4 to 8 metres on sand, but the bottom is broken by reefs and Posidonia, so pick a clear sand patch and dive on the anchor for fair holding. Keep well clear of the submerged rocks off the point. Shelter from N, NE and NW winds, open to the south and east; a southerly swell works in, and the wash of boats passing offshore can make it choppy by day. The mistral gusting round the Esterel can send williwaws down the cliffs.
Practical
No services on site. Port de la Figueirette 0.4 NM to the west and Port La Galère 1 NM to the north-east cover fuel, water and visitor berths.
Ashore
The Sentier du Littoral passes along the cliff above the anchorage and joins the trails of the Esterel massif. Théoule-sur-Mer village centre is 1.2 km to the north-east on foot from Port La Galère, with bakery, grocery and restaurants.
