Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south-east through the gap between the Deux Freres rocks and the shore. Sheltered from SW, W and NW winds, exposed to the east where a swell quickly sets into the cove, and boat wash adds to the roll by day. The bottom is posidonia and rock with little clear sand, so holding is uncertain; rock lies on the bottom below about 7 m, and depths in the cove run 4 to 10 m.

Practical

Forain anchorage with no services. Port La Galère lies 0.6 NM to the northeast and Port de la Figueirette is 0.7 NM to the southwest, both suitable for fuel and provisioning.

Ashore

The red porphyry cliffs of the Esterel rise directly behind the cove, with two small beaches reachable by dinghy or by swimming. A well-known bubble house stands on the ridge above. The corniche de l'Esterel footpath follows the shore on top of the cliffs and links the neighbouring coves.
