Approach and anchoring
Strong tidal range typical of the Gulf of Saint-Malo, around 12 metres at springs. The bay dries at low water, enter only on the rising half of the tide. Aim for the middle of the beach in front of the bathing buoys, where sand patches hold cleanly between the rocks. A large concrete block and rocks to one side make it tight for keelboats. Protection from N, NE, NW, W and E; open to S and SW swell. Above coefficient 85 part of the west shelter uncovers at high water.
Practical
No services on site. Nearest all-tide marina is Hérel in Granville at 9.6 NM E, with diesel, water and lock access to the wet basin. Port Picain lies 10.6 NM S for a second bail-out option.
