Guide
Approach and anchoring
Open roadstead with a sand bottom that holds well, anchor in about 3 to 5 metres, no shelter from the south and south-east sectors. A sailing school works the area and may ask boats to move on. The Gulf of Lion is known for sudden mistral and tramontane, which funnel down the Rhône valley with little warning.
Practical
No facilities on the beach. Port de Carnon lies 0.3 nm N with fuel, water and shops. LesCanalous base is 0.6 nm N. Use the anchorage for a lunch stop in settled weather only.
