Approach and anchoring
The marina is a pontoon without a breakwater, at the entrance to the channel between Palau and La Maddalena. Call VHF 12 ahead. The entrance can be hard to find, and a RIB came out to guide boats in 2024. Marina boatmen take lines, even in strong wind, though help came late for one boat in August 2025. The outer pontoon is open to the mistral and westerlies. Wash from channel traffic keeps the pontoon moving from early morning to midnight.
Practical
Booking is by phone, message or online. Places are few, and in August 2025 only one pontoon took a 12 m boat. That boat was quoted 145 euros, and showers 10 euros per boat. Toilets belong to the bar and restaurant on the pontoon, need a key and close at night. Rubbish is taken for a fee. A supermarket is 300 to 600 m away, the town centre about 15 minutes on foot.
