Approach and anchoring
The pontoon lies on a busy channel with no breakwater. Wash from passing ferries and boats keeps it moving until about 19.30 to 20.00. Berthing between 18.00 and 19.00 can be awkward. It usually settles at night, but it is exposed to wind and waves. In 2025 the staff assisted berthing, also from a dinghy, and picked berths to suit the forecast wind. The pontoons were new in 2025.
Practical
72 berths, draught up to 5.5 m. Water and electricity at the pontoon. An 11.8 m yacht paid 80 euros a night in August 2025. The pontoon had no toilets or showers of its own in 2025. The fuel station toilets were used, and a nearby marina charged for showers. A fuel station and a supermarket are close by. The town centre is 10 to 20 minutes on foot. La Maddalena lies within the archipelago national park.
