Guide
Approach and anchoring
The anchorage lies 0.65 miles south-east of the Baie des Anglais and is open to the trade-wind swell from the east. Approach by daylight with an up-to-date chart.
Practical
Landing on the islets is forbidden: the decree of 11 August 1995 bans all access to Hardy, Percé, Burgaux and Poirier, 5.57 hectares in all. No buoys or services.
Ashore
The reserve holds one of the main seabird colonies of the Lesser Antilles, with sooty and bridled terns, tropicbirds, brown noddies and Audubon's shearwaters. It is managed by the ONF and the Parc naturel régional de la Martinique.
