Guide
Approach and anchoring
Turn off the buoyed Ensenada Honda channel once inside the reef. Sand bottom. The reef keeps swell down, though the anchorage stays open to the trade wind. The front row of buoys gets shallow at low water and monohulls should avoid it.
Practical
More than 20 mooring buoys, plus anchoring on sand. Snorkelling on the reef from the boat. Dewey restaurants and provisions are within tender range.
Ashore
Little ashore apart from the beach. Bahía de Almodóvar is 1.5 NM to the east.
