Large marina of 840 berths in the bay of Golfe-Juan, on the western side of the Cap d'Antibes, operated by D-Marin.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south through the bay of Golfe-Juan, clear of dangers in open water. The entrance lies on the east side of the bay, marked by red and green lights at the jetty heads, and the inner jetty channel is narrowed in places by chains. Maximum draught 5 m on the deepest berths. Call VHF 9 or book through the D-Marin app, though a reply can be slow and the marina is run mainly for large motor yachts. Berthing help varies, from several marineros with a boat to none, so be ready to moor yourselves.
Practical
840 berths accommodating yachts up to superyacht size, with a fuel berth for diesel and petrol, water and shore power on the pontoons, a travel lift and boatyard. The marina is large, and the seaward pontoons are a 15 to 20 minute walk over hot concrete from the office and village, so ask for a berth on the village side. The D-Marin app manages the booking and the water and electricity at the berth. Prices run about 30 to 40 per cent above the neighbouring public Vieux Port de Golfe-Juan. On-site chandlers include a Volvo Penta dealer able to supply parts the same day.
Ashore
Golfe-Juan village with shops, restaurants and an SNCF station within 300 m. The quayside restaurants vary in value, while Le Jardin du Port near the old port is well regarded. Plage du Midi beach lies immediately west of the marina. The Route Napoleon starts here, commemorating the Emperor's landing on 1 March 1815, marked by a stele at the old port 400 m west.
History
The marina was built in the 1980s and named after Camille Rayon, a Resistance leader from the Alpes-Maritimes. It was taken over by the Turkish group D-Marin in 2020 and now forms part of their Mediterranean network.
