Sailing club base on the Aber Wrac'h estuary at Plouguerneau, north Finistere.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from the sea by the Aber Wrac'h channel, well buoyed but with strong tidal streams at the entrance. Rocky bottom outside the marked channel. Keep to the leading lines.
Practical
The moorings here are private buoys that dry out at low water, alongside a dinghy slipway, and this is not a full visitor marina. Perroz anchorage 2.3 NM to the SW and L'Aber Wrac'h marina 2.8 NM to the SW offer overnight berths with water, power and diesel.
Ashore
GR34 coastal path runs through Plouguerneau along the aber and the Ile Vierge shore. Phare de l'Ile Vierge, the tallest stone lighthouse in Europe at 82.5 m, is visible from the club and reached by boat trip from Lilia.
