Approach and anchoring
Approach from seaward in clear visibility. Holding is on sand. A fair-weather anchorage only, exposed to the E and S sectors, and the libeccio swell wraps round when the wind turns SW to S, so leave at the first sign of an easterly shift. If an easterly swell sets in, laying a stern anchor to hold the bow into it improves comfort.
Practical
No facilities at the anchorage. Port Taverna lies 9.9 nm to the S for a full service marina. Bastia Vieux Port is 12.1 nm to the N for supplies and ferry connections.
