Guide

Approach and anchoring

Approach from the Golfe de Saint-Florent heading NW along the coast. Sand bottom in 3 to 7 m close to the beach, good holding around 3 m. An isolated rock about 2 m deep lies in the middle of the cove. Shelter from W, SW, S and SE. Fully exposed to the libeccio from the NW and to north swell, which build up quickly in the gulf. Leave before the evening shift if thunder is forecast.

Ashore

The cove backs onto the Agriates coastal path that links Plage de Saleccia and Plage du Loto, both within 3 to 5 km on foot. No road access. Free-roaming cattle come down to the shore. The Agriates is a Conservatoire du Littoral protected area covering 15,000 hectares of maquis.
